This award recognises outstanding contributions to the advancement of research, discovery and/or invention in medical sciences, technological sciences, astronomy and astrophysics, Earth and space sciences, life sciences, physics, mathematics and chemistry, as well as in the disciplines associated with each of these fields and in related technical areas.
